Forms

To save time at beginning of your first session, I will send a Health History & Informed Consent form.

Policies

What to Expect

COVID Vaccination / Testing Policies - proof of vaccination strongly preferred. If you have a medical condition that prohibits you from receiving vaccines, I will work with you provided there is a negative test result within 48 hours of your appointment and you wear a mask during the session.

First Session - Each client is required to complete the health history form - you may wish to complete this prior to your session or you can complete it when you arrive.

Ongoing Sessions - At the beginning of each session, we will discuss your goals for each session and develop a plan to meet your needs. Sessions for established clients are available for 45 - 90 minutes. All session times are actual time at my location and therefore includes approximately 15 minutes for check in / check out. All sessions will be ended 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled end time to allow you to get dressed and pay if needed.

During the session, I highly encourage clients to voice their needs as they arise in the session. Examples include: change in pressure, change in stone heat, different draping, change in room temperature, a blanket, adjusting the face cradle, or session length.

Clothing and Draping

Clients have differing levels of comfort with disrobing and you should undress to your level of comfort. In most cases optimal work is done with direct skin contact or through only one layer of cloth, though your level of comfort is most important. Throughout the session, you will remain draped as appropriate for the work being performed. Blankets and a table heater are available for increased warmth and comfort.

If the goal of your session is chronic pain relief or to shift structural patterns, it will be necessary for me to assess posture and alignment before, during, and after the session. I suggest clients wear sturdy undergarments in which they'd be comfortable both standing in front of me and receiving massage work. (Bra and underwear, sports bra and shorts, or a two piece bathing suit for women, and boxer briefs, swim trunks, or the like for men.) Sheets and blankets will still be used to provide warmth and comfort.

Payment

Full payment is due at the time of service. I prefer cash and local checks. Venmo, Paypal, Apple Cash, and Google Wallet are also all options, but you must pay any associated transaction fees or select "friends and family." I also accept barter on a case by case basis.

Late & Early Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

  • Late clients will still be charged for the original booked session length. Due to other appointments and commitments, I may not be able to offer the original amount of time.
  • Early clients may not be able to be seen at time of arrival due to other appointments or commitments.

Appointments & Cancellations

It is strongly suggested that you rebook your next appointment during each session.

Please give at least 24 hours cancellation notice to avoid a $30 fee. (Acts of god, emergencies, sudden illness, and COVID are, of course, excluded.) This fee must be made prior to rescheduling your next appointment.

Confidentiality

Client information is kept strictly confidential at all times. I highly respect client confidentiality and will not share identifying client information with outside parties.

Gift Certificate Expiration

As of November 10, 2008, I have enacted the policy of No Expiration Date for all gift certificates. This includes previously purchased gift certificates that have an expiration date on them.

Donations / Pro Bono work

I happily contribute to the community by offering gift certificates as donations to non-profit organizations with a 501(c)3 status for silent auctions, raffles, etc. I am also available to provide chair massage work for free or donate part of my profits.

I have a limited amount of time available for community members who can not afford massage but need the work. I have happily donated my services to local farmers. Please contact me for more information.

Sexual Conduct

Massage therapy is strictly therapeutic. If a client behaves in a sexual manner or says anything inappropriate, the session will be terminated immediately, full payment expected, and the client denied any future appointments. Solicitation of sexual services will result in a phone call to the police.

Nice Words from Great People

FABULOUS, Marilyn S. says: I have been having regular (every 2 weeks) body work for ten years. With our recent move to NC, my first priority was finding a great massage therapist. I went to two others in the area, who were good, before finding Jamie through Dr. Mindy Bradshaw (a great chiropractor, BTW). Jamie is by far the best, the most intuitive massage therapist I have ever been to. She truly loves what she does, and it comes through her touch. Treat yourself to a massage by Jamie, you won't be disappointed.
